Padstow isn't known as the sea food capital of GB for nothing! The fish is fresh and varied and you don't have to go to "Mr S" to find that out! The restaurant at The Met has an AA Rosette for good food and its kitchen produces some cracking fish dishes.
But we're not all about fish as we have top quality meats, dairy and garden produce in our locale and we make fantastic use of it. A clean plate is the norm here so trust us, dinner will not disappoint you! We have a pretty mean wine list too with an eclectic mix of international wines as well as some stock favourites. That includes the wine and the most delicious bubbly from the award winning Camel Valley vineyard which is practically on our doorstep. (We offer a great value break that includes a tour of the vineyard).
We do a good breakfast too. Whole pieces of thick cut toast, freshly cooked hot breakfast with options like kippers and smoked haddock (the real Mccoy, not the "yellow" stuff)! Eat hearty and you're well equipped until the Cornish pasty urge hits you about lunchtime!
Yes, we do love our pasties but sometimes we want something a little different – a flavour of the seaside, Asia or the Med? Our Café Bar Menu is varied and can be as light or as hearty as you desire. The view from our decked area is fantastic in clement weather but if indoors, that view is still constant whilst you enjoy a bite.
We welcome non-resident guests and are open for Morning Coffee, Afternoon Tea, meals and snacks throughout the day. The Café Bar is open from 10.00am – 9.00pm
