…seagulls!

Wednesday, March 25th, 2009

A word of warning from one of our regular guests about the seagulls: we all know about their voracious appetites and how they will take food from the hands of the unwary but this gentleman coughed or sneezed heavily while out on a walk on the Camel Trail.  In so doing he lost his false teeth, thankfully his reactions are still good and he managed to catch them just before a seagull came swooping in to grab them!

Congratulations to Tracey and Terry

Tracey, our Reservations and Events Co-ordinator is off on maternity leave and we heard yesterday that she had finally had her baby.  Her little girl was born just after midnight weighing 6lb 10oz and she was home before breakfast!  We haven’t heard of a name yet but I’m sure we will do soon but mum and baby are doing well.

Tracey was expecting her little arrival quite a few days ago but she showed her Cornish roots by arriving “dreckly”.  When we get some pictures I’ll try and publish them somewhere on the site.

EDIT - we know have a name for her, it is Bailey May and I have put a photo on our news section  Tracey’s baby

…out like a lamb or so the old saying goes about March and as we have had a pretty wild and wintry start to the month we’re all looking forward to some really good spring weather in a week or so.  As usual there’s no snow here, it’s just a bit blustery so great walking weather so long as you’ve taken all the right clothing with you.
